Hey everyone! I hope you're having a fabulous Saturday. As promised, here's the beginning of 30 days of solid posting from me. And this will be in addition to whatever posts I would normally make. So hopefully this makes up for the recent lack of consistency. :)

Hey everyone! I've been really sporadic about my posts on here, and the other 2 blogs. Have no fear, I'm not burning out already, and I haven't been ill. I'm visiting my family, and our church here has been doing a week-long marriage conference.

Now contrary to popular belief, you don't have to have an endangered marriage to attend a conference. And isn't it better to learn how to protect your marriage before there's an issue, rather than after? I took my first step in getting ahead of the game when I read Gary Chapman's 5 Love Languages. When this conference came up, I got excited! For starters, I love our pastor, but I thought it was awesome that a marriage conference was the week before my anniversary.

So to make up for the inconsistent posts, I'll be participating in a 30 Day post that's been making rounds amongst the military spouses. (Who will be credited on the 1st of those posts. :) )

Speaking of military spouses. I ran across an awesome blogging community at Household 6 Diva. She's got it broken down between military spouses, and military supportive. Check her out, she also has a great article on OPSEC & PERSEC.

Men's Meme Monday - Overprotectiveness

Monday has arrived, so we are starting our week by joining the Men's Meme at Families Again. Each week, they post a question, that we ladies may post on behalf of our men, but the man must be the one to answer. My beloved Gunlover adores all things Irish, so his answers will be posted in green. :) My love is still overseas, so we're discussing this over Skype. As things need clarified, I'll notate my additions to the discussion, but I won't answer the question or put in my 2 cents.

On with the question! Are we being overprotective? Are we so cautious that we have lost sight of what it means to be kind and generous and outgoing with one another? Are all of the warnings correct or have we become a worrisome society? Or, should we be more wary these days? Have times changed and there is no going back? What are your thoughts?

I think we're overprotective on some aspects of life, and others not so much. We need to find a happy medium.

(me) Could you clarify that? In what areas are we over protective?

Overprotecting children from driving..like parents who won't help their children get drivers licenses.

(me) Okay, so on the main post, she discusses a woman who wants to have "Leave Your Kids At the Park Saturday" where you just drop the kiddos off for 30 minutes, and leave them alone. No keeping an eye on them or anything. Your take?

I think she's retarded. You don't leave your kids alone at park these days. This day and age there's a lot of people who'd enjoy them...a lot of pedophiles.

(me) Also on this post there was a woman who refused to give an older woman a ride, because she didn't know her. Do you think age warrants rides and favors, or is a stranger still a stranger?

A stranger is still a stranger. No offense to old ladies, but they can be pretty crazy, and there's some of them packing heat these days. (me roflol cause no I have the image of Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies)

(me) Alright last question...I promise! You gave a situation where parents can still be overprotective. What scenarios are parents not protective enough?

This week started off with waiting for the antagonist to receive the letter from the attorney..and it's sort of ended on that note. When we hit the middle of the week with no way of knowing whether or not she'd received it, we sent a new one with a tracker. Meanwhile, no one heard from her one way or the other. Friday at noon we received confirmation that she'd received it. So now we're waiting for her response, and praying she contacts our attorney on Monday. Also, Monday I received my VA backpay..awesome!!!

This week was just like any other week in Korea. Long hard and very uneventful. it started out good putting in for my leave but then took a massive drop. I was told that i was going to be driving for every single jet on this base alone. Most of the time we have multiple drivers but everyone else had appointments but me so I was stuck.

So this wasn't a half bad week...for the most part I was chilling at home. Tuesday I talked to the antagonist for a looooong time. That was mentally exhausting. Wednesday I put in my Avon order..I'll have it Monday..yay! Friday we got paid, so I met up with my neighbor across the street, and we had chicken gnocchi soup. Yum! Then I went to the craft store, and got stuck in there for a long time, because we had a horrendous storm blow in and the winds were so high it wasn't safe to leave the store. But I found cute decorations for the baby. Today was rough though. I went grocery shopping, thinking it would be okay so long as I went later in the afternoon. It was a nightmare! Ack, never on Saturday again, lol. By the time I left the store, my sciatic nerve was burning so much that I could barely walk from the cart return to the car. But when I got home, I had an awesome surprise. My VA claim has gone through, and I'll be officially getting a paycheck now. Woohoo!

Last week was a bit better than the week before. it was still crappy but I was able to see a good man retire from a long service to the air force. We definitely sent him off with a bang. Well this was certainly an eventful week. Sunday I tested out a new church...think I liked it. Monday, nothing much happened. Tuesday, I was on the phone 3 times with the antagonist. She just kept calling...yikes! Wednesday I was on edge waiting to see how my Mom was. Wednesday would have been my grandmother's 67th birthday. Thursday was quiet, but Friday more than made up for it. Friday morning I had an appointment..the doc isn't sure I'll make it to the 31st. Then I went to Family Dollar to find trashcans, and found an incredible deal. Framed Asian art for $3 a pop. I bought 6 and finally have my empty living room wall decorated. Then I went to Publix and bought more fruit & juice. Then I came home, and set out to do one final slam dunk on the house, before settle down for the duration of my pregnancy. And let me tell you, it was an enormous amount that I got done in one afternoon. And I'm really hurting now...I'm definitely done. I hung up the artwork, cleaned out the dining room, cleaned out the living room & hallway, put flower decorations on Jade's wall, vacuumed the ling room & hallway, and re-shelved my displaced Avon items. Then the Florida batch came in and brought a crib with them. 30 minutes before the arrived, my printer stopped working. Just completely malfunctioned, and nothing I did would work. The lights were lit, even if the printer was turned off. Only unplugging it would stop that, and as soon as it was replugged and turned back on, it would do it again. So they very kindly bought me a new printer. I had been in the process of copying very important paperwork. So it was very much appreciated!

Well this was a long week. Sometimes it was very fulfilling, others it was completely exasperating. It was fulfilling when I was getting our daughters room set up, getting some reading done, getting all the laundry done, organizing our room, getting groceries to hold me over for a couple of weeks, and purchasing some cookbooks to assist in menu making.
It was exasperating when I knocked my phone in the bathtub. When I thought I was done with the laundry, just to unpack a box, and discover something had been spilled on our daughters comforter before it was packed. Listing to Jewel ask me why I can't come get her yet. Those things made for frustrating pockets of time. But overall, it was a good week. I got more done on the house, than I thought I could. And it's only 25 days until I see my beloved Gunlover.

My week was interesting to say the least. It started out like any other week ant Kunsan. But soon it would all go down the drain. I was told that I'm so good at my job i had to pull the slack of the 2 other drivers. They ended up doing nothing and I was made to stay 13 1/2 hours on my last day because the work had to get done.

I have 2 current favorites in this category.

#1. A Walk To Remember: I love this for 2 reasons. The 2 that fall in love, are an unlikely couple...which I can relate to..lol. And the 2nd reason, is how much she packs into a life, not know when it will end. I have my own list, because no one knows how much time they have left.

#2. The Notebook: Another odd couple movie, but my primary reason for this being a favorite, is because Gunlover introduced me to it. It was the first movie he introduced me to. I love a man who loves chick flicks. :)

Sum It Up Saturday

My week went by faster than I could have imagined. I think having a daily post to make has helped make it go by quicker. Plus being interactive on my other blog, and a few others as well has also helped pass the time. I spent my week figuring out a game plan for getting the house set up and ready to go. I'm not going to be able to make it perfect, which part of my personality is struggling with. My days are about to need to slow down as I get closer to baby-time.
I spend my days counting down to when Gunlover comes home. He's sleeping right now. God bless the inventor of Skype. I think I'd go insane if I couldn't see him, hear him...know for a fact that he's okay. Some people think we're bizarre for this, but really, don't you normally see your husband laying next to you? It's comforting to me, to wake up and hear him breathing..see him sort of laying next to me. He's there, just separated by miles & oceans.
It's very early here, so I'm gonna head to bed now. I have an Avon event in the morning. Hopefully I'll get some customers to keep me going over the next few weeks. After this, I'm probably done until after the baby gets here, so if I can get a customer base to pull me through, that'd be great. Here's hoping!
